Just Got First Ever Trailer/Hauler!

Hey Guys

I just picked up my first ever trailer/hauler and excited as heck to start using it!

2005 23ft Sandpiper Hauler. In really good shape, and owner was very anal retentive.

I never owned anything like this before, so i am clueless, but here to learn!

This will mostly be used to haul my motorcycles to the track, but also to go camping with the wifey.

Most of it is in perfect condition and everything works.

One question though, WHERE exactly are the batteries located?

Anything else i should look at maintenance wise for this?

Thanks a lot
Kevin

Welcome to the FRF.

I am assuming this is a 5th wheel? I will try to look it up. There are quite a few things you will want to check. Others will chime in to help also but probably not till morning.

Congratulations again

Thanks for replying.

No, not a 5th wheel. Ball and Hitch.

Trying to find a hauler for dummies manual!

The batteries should be located up on the tongue of the camper? ThAt is where they are on most TT

Don't worry about feeling dumb or asking dumb question. We have ALL been there with our first camper

Yeah, thats where i've always seen the batteries, but they arent there. I looked in all the obvious places and cant find the darn things!

As for model, it looks like a T23 as best i can tell. Forest River Sand Piper

Tried, but it looks bolted down, heavy plywood bolted down. I am guessing thats where they are. Wires are all coming and going from that general direction!
