Just got out of a tent, and into a tent camper!

Hello everybody! My name is Kenneth and I'm an avid backpacker and tent camper. We've got 2 young boys now (1.5 yrs and 3.5 yrs), so the wife and I decided to pick up a used 2004 Flagstaff 176SD LTD to take the kids camping in this summer.

I also wanted to add that my wife is a camping addict. She likes to be in the woods as much, if not more, than I do! I had to break her in easy with some light "car camping", but once she got the hang of it, she was all in! :-) We're hoping to continue tent camping some, as we want to show our children what it's like to camp in different ways, and not be totally reliant on electrical, etc. However, the new PUP should allow us to also camp more often... getting in at least 2 more trips a year! :-)

I'm having some electrical issues with it (no 110v power, but receptacles work fine), so I'm going to post that to another section, but I just wanted to say hello. Can't wait to get settled in here and learn some stuff!!!

Kenneth

Welcome to the wonderful world of camping Kenneth. You're already experiencing some of the challenges and irritations - but, trust me...the great times and memories you make will certainly outweigh those temporary problems.

Hope you'll find the folks on Forest River Forums as helpful, friendly and nice as I have.

Take care,
