Just graduated!

Hi all! We just sold our beloved 2001 Palomino Filly popup. We are now the proud owners of a 2004 FR Shamrock 232! I am still in shock. Not only is it twice as long as the popup (closed), it has a bathroom!! We are taking it out this weekend locally to make sure everything works properly before our summer adventures commence. Very nervous and excited! Hoping to learn lots of fun tips and tricks from you folks😁

Welcome to FRF! be sure to check out the Hybrid/Expandabel section here.

be sure and invest in the #1 mod for hybrids: Popup Gizmos or the generic solar blanket equivalent.
you might already know about them, since you had a popup.

Welcome from Arkansas and congrats on your new "bathroom". I upgraded from a Popup 3 years ago and have no regrets! My Forest River Wildwood is a 2004 and 26 Ft long. I love it and learn something new every trip I take! Good luck!

Yeah, the upgrade from a pop-up to a trailer happened for me in 2006. It's great to have access to a bathroom in the middle of the night without it being a toilet seat on a 5 gallon bucket!

Nothing worse than getting up at 2am, riding my bike a quarter mile to the bath house, then riding back and not being able to go back to sleep because of my invigorating pre-dawn jaunt! Yay for campers with potties😉

One tip now that you are a member of the "Flushable" set

If you don't have one already Cheffonade, get a water pressure regulator. They are inexpensive and a absolute necessity.

Enjoy the forums and ask away if you have questions!

Indoor plumbing is a great thing at 2:00 AM. I was born and reared in El Dorado, Ark and took many trips to Shreveport and Monroe. I am not familiar with the campgrounds in Louisiana however. Would love to venture out of the State at some point.

We just moved here last summer from the Florida Panhandle. Beautiful camping on the Gulf coast! There are some nice state parks here in LA. Definitely venture out this way! BTW, we spent 5 nights at Hot Springs Natl Park last summer. What a gorgeous place! Our only issue was no showers as we still had our popup. Thankful for the outside shower and the ability to bathe with a swimsuit on😁
