Just joined

Happy to be a part of this forum. Purchased a used 07 Roo 233 after our 99 Coleman was totaled.

Got it all cleaned up and heading to Lake Livingston this weekend for the break-in.

In a dad and daughter camping program with my daughter and granddaughters, with 13 other families.

Welcome to the Roo Krew. We have a lot of other owners here and lots of information in the Roo and Shamrock subforums. Take a look and ask if you have any questions.

Your trip sounds great. Have fun

Welcome! We camped at Lake Livingston this weekend. A large chunk of the park is closed right now while crews cut down dead trees (drought related). But the park was still beautiful! Be overly cautious with leaving things out over night. Unfortunately, someone came through Saturday night and stole bicycles and fishing gear from several campsites.

The leaks you read about are not as bad as you think. Don't get me wrong - for those owners, its a pain. But there are plenty of us who have never experienced a serious leak. Sites like ours tend to attract those who need the most help so you'll read about a lot of problems. Most trailers are just fine, however.

Having said that, catching any leak requires constant vigilance with any trailer, but especially with one that is 5 years old. Its just part of the fun of owning a trailer.

If you haven't yet had the chance to do it, go up on the roof with a caulking gun and some Dicor self-leveling caulk. Hit any dried or cracked caulk. Look at every seam and screw to make sure you get it all.

The seals in your Roo around the bunk ends should also be inspected. Make sure they are still pliable and fully seal when closed up.

You don't have much time before your first trip, but these two things are pretty easy.
