Hello everyone! Just joined the forum today. Im about to purchase my very first 5th wheel within the next week or two. Looking forward to alot of camping time with my family. So please be patient with me because I have a ton of questions. I promise I will try to keep it to a minimum. Lol

We definately have the bug. Its just so confusing trying to figure out what hitch that I need. I would like to have one that I just hook and go and not have to worry about having to use the slider. I think it's called a automatic slider or something. I've been asking around on the forum to get some suggestions.

to the forum!

As I don't have a 5th wheel, I can't offer any advice on a hitch for you, but I'm sure lots of others here can help!

to the forum! What is your tow vehicle? A slider is only necessary with a short bed. The only automatic slider is the SuperGlide by Pullrite. That is what I am using:

Another option is the Sidewinder pin box from 5th Airborne.

I have a 2011 gmc crewcab 2500 duramax. It has the 6 1/2 foot bed. How do you like your superglide? Does it function well?

It is great! It does exactly as advertised, you just have to drive and it takes care of itself. It is expensive, but in my opinion it is worth the peace of mind of not having to worry about putting the cap of my 5'er through the back of my cab.
