Just picked up our 2013 Vibe 6504

Hello

Just picked up our new 2013 Vibe 6504 today. The wife and I have been tent campers for years and have finally moved up to a TT. We regularly travel to Charlotte for the NASCAR races and also enjoy all of the beautiful camping here in WV. We are looking forward to our first trip in a few weeks. We would love to hear from other Vibe owners who would like to share their experiences and tips.

Loving our VIBE 6504. One trip to the river a success. Two trips down and back the Charlotte Motor Speedway in the books and successful also.

Now I have come up with some questions. Here goes.

1. Our vibe came with pre-installed mounts for a WDH. I tow with an F150 with full tow package rated at over 11,000. Do I need the WDH and will it give me more control on the road? I have a single sway bar mounted already but sometimes sway is still an issue. Could I have too little tongue weight currently?

2. The TT battery does not seem to be charging while connected to the TV. Is this normal or do I have an issue?

3. I would like to install a solar trickle charging system in our VIBE to keep the battery charged while in storage so that I can start the frige cooling as soon as we hook up encounters to our destination. Has anyone done this on a VIBE? Any suggestions? Any pictures of the layout, hook ups, mountings etc?

Thanks

Try the link below for your (not) charging while driving issue.

Note to all Ford owners. - Forest River Forums

Also, tongue weight is an issue on the vibes because of the storage being in the back. Some also have the fresh water tanks behind the axles. I would check the tongue weight and move the weight up front accordingly.

Well worth getting weighed to find out your weights and tongue weight percentage.
