Kalamazoo, Mi.

Hello. We just bought a 2013 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2703ws to replace a 2010 Keystone Sprinter that was involved in a fire. The neighbors fifth wheel on the other side of the fence caught fire and totaled ours. Missed one planned weekend but have used this camper twice now and love it.
Have a problem getting a ladder from Rockwood that was part of the deal but will survive until it arrives.
I do have a question about the tv reception. 32" Toshiba, amplifier on; turn on certain led overhead lights or sometimes the 17" in the bedroom and it kills the signal to the 32". In other words, go to the bathroom, turn on the light, no tv.
Sorry for the long post. Have learned much lurking around and decided to join the forum. Good dealer nearby but they seem slow to put pressure on Rockwood for the ladder. May have to take things on myself, which I don't mind.

Don't have a second tv in my rig, so I would not have any idea about the nature of the interference you are experiencing, but someone here will know. I just saw your post and wanted to extend a warm welcome to the forum, Bob, from a neighbor to your south!

Welcome to the forum! Too bad to hear your last trailer was totalled but its always nice to get a new camper.

Are your lights LEDs? I've heard several complaints of LEDs with causing interference with TVs and radios. Unfortnately, I don't know the solutions well enough to advise you on this. You might want to post that question in the Appliances and Electronics - Forest River Forums as well. Good luck with solving the issue.

Thanks for the quick welcomes and replies. We're camping in Holland right now, going home soon today. Lights are LEDs. Also found out last night if I stretched out on the couch and my feet were close to the tv the signal went out. Looked in the mirror, my eyes weren't glowing, I looked the same. Maybe I'm an antenna and didn't know it.

These can be interesting and stubborn issues. Here's hoping yours is a simple one!

I suspect a faulty coax connection. They probably didn't get a good shield connection on one of the fittings. You can try a visual inspection, but in the end, may have to just redo them all.

Welcome! We are from portage, what dealer did you use? We went thru Haylett auto and Rv in coldwater and they are super quick about getting things. I hope you get the TV situation locked down.

LED Lighting has been a problem for reception in my Columbus as well. I just watch TV with most of the lights off!!! I will be camping in Holland at Lake Macatawa on fathers day!!!

Garsplach; We used Curtis RV in Schoolcraft. Great to deal with, close for service. I'm probably just being to impatient. I kind of thought these companies would have parts around and very easy to get. The motor for the awning was quickly obtained once they knew of the recall.
I have made a post in Appliances and Electronics with the real annoying problem with the tv reception and led's.

Syence; We were on the beach this weekend. Great weather for us. Hate the heat. Will be in Ludington on Fathers Day for a week with the three grandkids. Twin 10 year old boys, and their 4 year old sister. Just have to double up on the prozac.

We went there and had not so great service or visit. Doesn't surprise me really that you're still waiting. We had to ask the guy twice to open up a trailer to look at. Then he gave us an estimate price and a pamphlet and never saw him again..... So we left and drove to coldwater. Best decision ever

Called the dealer today and they said the ladder would be at the factory on the 11th. Everything else is in. Fantastic fan, seal for the dinette slide and extra overhead doors. Hopefully its ready by fathers day. All seems good for now.
