Leaving propane on while traveling
I have a question about leaving the propane turned on for the refrigerator while traveling to our destination, is it safe to do so? Any advice would be appreciated!!!!

a quick search here or any RV forum, will show you that this is a topic constantly discussed.
you would have hours of reading.
bottom line, based on posts i've read over the past 11 years, the large majority of RV owners travel with the propane ON. we have for years.
some choose to turn it off while fueling but that's a personal choice.

I even leave my heat on in the winter while traveling.

I turn it off unless needed, but it is safe to keep on while traveling. I do turn it off once I park it when I return for safety.

My father had his on once when traveling. During the trip the bike fell over and turned the stove on. There's no telling how long it was on. Next trip he turned it off. I still travel with mine on. I wish there was an independent shutoff so the fridge could run and nothing else.

Primarily there is a wood fired pizza truck that occupies the spot next to me in storage, so I never know what he might be doing. I keep up on my hoses and all but should they ever spring a leak that I do not catch or wears while in storage I don't want to be the cause of explosion.
Secondly, there are a few yahoos I have seen in the facility. Not trouble causing yahoos, but don't seem to have a clue what they are doing yahoos. One dumb move by them could cause issues as well.

So it's not when you park, but when you store it. Big difference.

With the cost of Propane I would not leave the tanks on the camper in a storage unit. I take them off and store them at home in the shed or outside with the ones for the grill.
However, for running down the road, I leave them on.

You did, just not parked in a storage lot. To me parked is camping.

I used to leave it on when traveling between campgrounds but have since changed my mind.
Now I freeze water bottles and place them in the fridge section and turn off the bottles from departure to arrival at the campground.
I have seen too many RV fires recently to continue my previous practice.
