Lexington Rv

Hey there wanted to introduce myself and joined this page to learn insights and get advice on our Motorhome !
We are from Australia 🇦🇺 and have a Lexington 283 GS 2014 model ( I’d love to know how many are here we have only seen one but there are a few fifth wheelers around )
We are navigating our way around our RV and learning a lot as we go but would love other insights from others to give us ideas
Thanks for the invite 👍🏼

I’m really good at reading upside down so no problem I’m just hoping I’m responding in the right way as I’m still working it out !
We are sooooo lucky the guy that imported it had to sell so we scored it he had spent a lot getting everything changed over !
I can’t find any others over here yet

Good morning and welcome.
We have a 2012 Lexington 283ts, purchased new. Any problems or questions you may have, well, someone on the forum has probably run across the same thing.
Always ready to help if you have any questions.
Question...what is parts availability like there for US made rv's? Things like water pumps, converters/inverters, simple things like fuses, circuit breakers, ect. Can you locally source or do you have to have items shipped from USA?

Grumpy

Ford sells the e450 platform in Australia so truck maintenance should not be a major issue.

There is a Lexington Forum and also areas for specific questions/problems (electrical, plumbing etc) just follow the "Forums" link at the top.

We have a 2006 255DS and it's running well and in good shape.

Welcome.
We suggest you go to this page ==> Forest River Forums - Forest River Owners Community and familiarize yourself with all the headings. You may want to ask about solar charging systems, for instance.

I was curious about the standard fittings used on the USA stuff like inlet hose fittings, pipe thread fittings, pex stuff. Things like their rv water pumps and ours. Different inlet/outlet threads? Their power provider vs. our 30/50 amp?
Was just wondering as I've seen some of the products from down under, and they do make some nice rv products. Also alot of aftermarket products that aren't available here.

How is driving on the left side with a left side drivers seat?

I spent a few months living and driving in England and everyday I would open the left side door, close it, walk around to the right and get in. I could hear the neighbors yelling Run Kids, the American is driving again. ;-)
