Talking Long Time RV'r First Time Forest River

Been camping & RVing for over 40 years. Went from tent to a slide-in truck camper, 2 tongue pulls, 3 5ers and 2 Class A's. We're not ever gonna be "full timers" and enjoy hitting the state & national parks. Just downsized to a smaller more user friendly Class A (#2) that makes site selection, entry & exit a little easier. Settling in to a new FR3 30DS. Everything works & already making a few mods & culling out all that crap we never used that we kept putting in each larger RV. (Kept the tent - you just never know )

We went from a smaller 17' TT on a permanent site on a lake to a popup, then a hybrid, 35' TT, 36' 5'er and now we are in a 43' fifth wheel.

Each time we "traded up", we would put our stuff in a storage building, then put what we wanted into the new one. The storage building just kept getting fuller and fuller. We had friends buy a popup, so we took them to the building and let them take their pick of our leftovers. We have done this with 3 different friends, so our building is now usable again.

You just need more friends!!

Ain't it fun

We went from canvas tent (history programs) to a sailboat, to a 19 foot no slides, and now a 25 foot (surveyor 251RKS). Each time we marveled at the extra room. We are quasi-full time (still tied to a house). With your experience I am sure you learned how to ignore the bells and whistles and get the tool for the job. Enjoy, but never say never to full-time or at least expanding your adventure radius.
