We use one...the heavy duty (steel) version. We always take it with us on trips, and also use it here at home when the 5er is stored in the back yard. It's somewhat a theft deterrent in that you are able to *lock* it on to the king pin.

IMO it does help to stabilize the bedroom area which is directly above the king pin. And yeah, it's also a mental thing for me, knowing I'm not sleeping out over an unsupported area.

Ya never know but probably not

They will probably offer you a cheap sewer hose, a plastic water pressure regulator, and maybe a white water hose.

You are better off asking for a credit in their RV store and getting decent stuff:
Brass Water Pressure regulator
Camco Rhinoflex sewer system
Camco White Water Hose

You're welcome, and BTW, X3 on the welcome from Louisiana!

(dunno what there was to be *dis*honest about in my post....just sharing my experience with ya)

Here's hoping you're soon and enjoying the retirement you SO deserve!

We had a 2006 Jayco Designer 36RLST. We bought a tri-pod after about two years, glad we did. 5ver did not sway anymore. Very good investment.
