Made the switch

Just purchased a 2012 Catalina Santara 271BH. We are from eastern NC. This is our second camper. For the last few years we've had a Jayco 165BH. Going from an 18 foot unit to a 29 foot one is an adjustment. So much room....For now. I'm sure my wife can fill it up. Its also a bit of a learning curve driving it. I had to redesign my whole backyard so I could park it there. For the last few years it's only been my teenage son and me. We've been from Virginia to Key West scuba diving with it. Got my eye on Pensacola next Spring. Mom wasn't interested in camping. She finally decided to go but she had conditions. Mainly a bigger camper with a queen bed and a couch. Sold the other one a few months ago and have been looking ever since. We decided on and bought his one last Saturday. Hoping to slip down to Myrtle Beach next month and let my wife do some Christmas shopping. (another Condition). I know this is an "economy" version but I hope to get a lot of years out of it. One thing I like is the aluminum side. I can fix any problems with that. My last one had some issues. Can anybody give me some insight as to the long term quality assuming proper maintenance for this product line?Click image for larger version

That's a nice upgrade. Not really familiar with unit, co worker has had his for many trouble free years. Enjoy!
