Brand new at this - traded our 34 ft cabin cruiser for a 34 ft Georgetown. Took our first 2 week trip from NC thru PA, MA, VT and upper NY state (Lake George). Didn't do too bad - worse thing was we hit a bridge on our way from VT to NY that we couldn't get under and had to find an alternate route! Lots to learn -- but believe we are gonna really enjoy this new toy!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new Georgetown. We, too, made the switch from boat (40' Carver) to 3008 Windjammer and absolutely love RVing.

Hope you didn't actually "hit" the bridge, but realized you couldn't make it and then took the alternate route.
I don't see VA. on your list of states. How did you get from NC to PA ??
lol - we didn't actually "hit" the bridge! We were able to turnaround and re-route. Of course turning around on a back country road in VT was a learning experience!
