Moving up from a Tent

We have been tent campers our whole life. Last year we decided we may be getting to old to sleep on the cold ground so we bought a little 19 Ft TT. It didn't take us long to discover we needed something bigger. Enter our "new to us" 2010 Flagstaff 26RLSS. Needless to say we love it and can't wait for the first trip out. But, this is alot more camper and lots of new things to learn.....like a super slide. With storms rolling in tonight we decided to move it from the driveway (where we have been cleaning and waxing) to a covered warehouse. But, the slide would not pull in. Power issues we determined. Plugged into garage outlet with about 15 amps and apparently need the full 30 to operate the slide. Does that sound right??All of this made us decide we probably need to know what to do in a case like this. We found the crank, but we cannot find the slide motor that we are supposed to connect it to. Help - does anyone know where this is??
Regardless - we love our Flagstaff and excited to be part of this great forum.

I believe it should work on battery power also.

Plugging in to 15 amps should give you enough power. Sounds like the battery is dead as well. If your garage outlet is a GFI, that can cause issues. Try plugging into a non-GFI plug. Also check the fuses in the panel, and most slide motors have a fuse in the wiring to the motor underneath as well. Do your lights work? If they do, sounds like an issue with the slide.

As for the crank, the owners manual might give you details, but on super slides, the handle is usually inserted on the opposite side of the trailer.
