My trailer sits low

I have a 2006 27 ft. salem. It keeps hitting bottom when pulling into driveways and parking lot s. It sits low to the ground. I've noticed that newer trailers all seem to ride much higher. Is there anything I can do?

Hows the air pressure in your tires, And ...are the wheels and tires the proper size ?? And last..is the trailer overloaded ??

Do you have leaf spring suspension or torsion axle? If you have leaf springs, you can have the springs relocated to the top of the axle rather than being under. It is generally referred to as "flipping the axles" although that term is not really accurate.

If you have the torsion axles, you can either have a sub frame installed or replace the axles with a different drop arm angle.

I had that problem with my last tt. Wore the skid bars off. Installed heavy dut wheels in the back which helped out alot. ( camping world sells them). But I still was not satisfied till I reversed the axles mine spindles where not inline with the axle tubes there where welded offset to lower the tt. took them off flipped them up and off I went never hit again.

An easy solution if your trailer is riding high in front while hooked you to your tow vehicle, is to lower the hitch a notch.

....Also there are "lift kits" available that raise the entire trailer by having blocks inserted between the trailer frame and the suspension. Your dealer should be able to help you here.
