New 2011 Roo 233s
Hi all;
Picked up our new 233s Roo 2 weeks ago. Moved up from a primitive PUP (2000 Coleman Santa Fe, no air, no toilet, no HW). Kids are grown and still want to camp with the folks....so we had to move up! I have been checking out this forum for some time now....great information here. I am looking forward to contributing. Shakedown trip next month....2 others already planned.
Already loaded our stuff and got things organized (for now). Also did a few simple mods (towel rods, shelving, battery cutoff,...) nothing picture worthy yet. Have a few others on the list, such as vent covers, digital thermostat, set up a website for pics,....
Any reccomendations on sites to host pics?? All thoughts and advice are welcome!!!

Welcome and congrats! We love our 233s and are itchin' to get it out and start off the season. I also have some pics to post...when I get around to it Installed the 12v fridge fan and want to install the battery disconnect. I would like to see how you added yours. Also posting pics to get ideas from others on putting in a lcd mount for a small tv. Hopefully get them up soon. Congrats again, I'm sure you're gonna love it!!

There are several places out there, but I'll mention the one I use, which is picasaweb.google.com If you have a gmail account, the shortcut link is at the top of the email page once you login and your email login will automatically log you into your web album. Then you can upload photos, gather links to post in here at different sizes and yea, pretty easy. I've also seen some people using photobucket, but I've never tried that.
One other choice is to just post your photo up on the forum within the "User CP", then a link on the left to pictures & albums.
Hope that helps.
Joe

welcome....it seems this model is becoming quite popular this time of the year. Our should be arriving in a couple of weeks. I am curious how you ran the battery disconnect switch too...I will order one from West Marine.
Our first long trip will be to the Sunshine State on April 2nd, but may do a quick weekend away run in Great Smoky Mountains National Park here in my backyard....
I have installed the vent covers before and it was easy.

Thanks for the all "welcomes." WIll try to get some pictures in the coming weeks. On the battery disconnect, I bought a keyed switch on eBay for $12.50 with free shipping. Bought a pre-lugged disconnect cable from AutoZone as it was cheaper than making one myself (2 footer for about $4). Mounted in the top of the battery box. Operates with a read plastic key. Works great so far. Just need to see how it holds up to the weather.
Go to eBay and search for "Keyed-Battery-Safety-Master-Disconnect-Cut-Off-Switch"

Welcome to the "Roo Kroo"!!!
as was said, the 233S seems to be a hot item right now. after a couple of years on the market, all of a sudden, people are buying them.
PUGs or solar blankets are the #1 mod for hybrids.

Bike,
I am new to the Forum so is it more 233S are selling or is it just more new folks who are buying 233S are simply finding their way here compared to other FR TTs? It just seems that a lot are selling based on the number of 233 newbys like me here. Down at Tropical RV they say the 233S is their best selling expandable.

I'm new here as well and just bought our Roo 233s 3 weeks ago, but not bringing it home until the "thaw". I'd love to see the mods you're doing. Welcome and congrats on your purchase!

Bob, until recently, the 23SS and 21SS have been the top Roo/Shamrock sellers since they first appeared back in '05.
the 233 was the next best selling.
i've seen new 233S owners starting to pop up on other RV forums, not just here.
since there is only one other 3-bed hybrid with a slideout out there, i think it's just starting to catch on with the public.

We looked at the other 3 bed w/slide model and the floor plan wasn't optimal for us and the slide wasn't a full slide. We need all the room we can get with 7 people and 1 still in a pack n play.
