Looks great! How does the Tundra do towing the trailer? I have a Tundra that we will be using to tow a XLR 24hfs, hope we don't have a problem.

Love it. Ours is a 2012. It has so much room. ENJOY!
Would you send a pm and let me know how you posted the photos. I am using an iMac with Lion o/s. it should be simple but I have had no luck so far.

Left this morning from Winston Salem, NC to Greenville, NC. The tundra pulled the camper great. Got about 8.5 miles to the gallon. Was about 300 miles.

I would have expected a better mpg. I tow my trailer (same as yours 2012 model) with a 2007 Toyota Tundra 4X4 and on the last trip I got b/t 11 and 12 mpg. I use the A/C and cruise control and keep it in the tow/haul mode. We went from 13' altitude to 7,200' and back. Around 45,000 miles on the Tundra so far. I use 87 octane (regular fuel).
Oh well, I love both the tow vehicle and the trailer. I bet you do too!

We get close 10 mph towing our 3008W with a 2006 Silverado 5.3 with the tow package. We don't camp a lot here in the summer as we have a cottage, but, will take it to the Rio Grande Valley for two month this coming winter.

cheatham09 - We have a 2012 Windjammer and we're pulling ours with the exact same color Tundra as you! I did a double-take when we saw your pic! I think the only difference is our bed covers.
here's ours:

Hey Buffalohunter - how do you manage 11-12 mpg with your Tundra? We have a 2008 and usually get between 6-9 mpg. We have Michelin's with pretty aggressive tread (recommended for towing when we were shopping for replacement of the original tires) and we think that may be the contributing factor.

Many possibilities I suppose. I have 255/70R-18 113S open country H/T M/S tires from Les Schwab. I like them, they are quiet and wear well. I have a Diamond Back SE Truck Cover that keeps all my gear locked and protected and I think reduces wind resistance. I have all the scheduled maintenance performed at the dealer. Probably the main thing is I just take my time and do the posted speed limits. I do use the A/C and the cruise control. I don't think I overload the truck or trailer but I do take plenty of gear. I try to put a lot of the gear in the truck and not the trailer. I have had a trip that was 9.8 to 10.5 mpg over most of the route but I have never been down to 6-9 mpg like you mentioned. I would hate that at todays cost of fuel.
