Smile New 2014 sunseeker 3050s owner from buffalo, ny

I just bought my first RV and will be picking it up Friday. Any advice for a retired single newbie would be appreciated. My grandkids are so excited . Unfortunately most WNY campgrounds close in a couple weeks.

Welcome and congratulations on the new RV. We have a trip this coming weekend then in a couple weeks. Then time to winterize it till March when we go to FL. I believe Allegany state park might be open year round for camping.

Robinanne1, Congrats on the new MH, I have a 3051s which is the same as yours, LOVE IT!! The only advice I can give you is to ask LOTS !!!! of questions and have the dealer show you everything working when you pick it up, don't let them rush you!! The first thing you may want to do to it is remove the sliding hinge on the door under the bathroom sink where you put dirty clothes. The door will not open enough when bag is full to be able to get it out. Good luck and have fun.

Hello and Welcome fellow Western New Yorker. I grew up in Sloan, moved out to the burbs now. We just sold our 2014 Sunseeker 2900 and picked up a Rockwood 8289WS 5th Wheel over the weekend (BuffaloRV). Needed more space and I got a sweet 4x4 out of the deal. If your looking to take a nice short trip, check out the Chautaqua KOA, only 75 minutes away and its a gorgeous camp ground. We are heading out there this Friday for a 4 day weekend. Enjoy yourselves and stay in touch!

Wow, lots of WNY representation!

We're down near Ellicottville and just bought our first road worthy TT. We've got our eye on retirement as we practice with our new Rockwood 2502. So far, it's been fun, although of the 5 nights in it since Labor Day, 3 were in our driveway.

Good luck with your new rig, maybe we'll run into you at a local campground!

Oh yea, BTW Robinanne1, I don't know if you know yet, but tolls are double for the Sunseeker on the 90. We used our easy pass on the first trip and got nailed.

Congrats on the new RV! Lots of good memories are ahead for you & the grand kids. How did things go yesterday? Are you out camping yet? I know that the season is coming to an end in your area.

We love pictures so feel free to share.

Next fall Sept. Oct. we are going from Spokane, Washington to Chicago, Boston, Washington, Lexington, Memphis etc. I see your post about double tolls, should we expect that with a 3050 Sunseeker when we get back East.

New York State thruways charge double for recreational vehicles. I owned a 2900 and now a 5th wheel and pay double in New York. I stayed off the turnpike in PA.
