Talking New 2306 from Colorado

Hi Everyone,

My name is Andrew from Castle Rock, CO. We pick up our new 2306 tomorrow morning! We have been tent campers for a long time but my wife has convinced me that we should look at an upgrade. What tips do you have for a first time buyer/owner.

Welcome to the forum.
You won't regret the upgrade from a tent.
Spend as much time as you can at the PDI when you pick up your camper. Ask as many questions as you can about how things work, water heater, refrigerator, water system, power (110 & 12), hook ups...
Anything you see you are not sure about.
I hope you are getting a WDH & sway control.

Then you can

Congrats on the new camper. We have the sister to Rockwood's 2306, we have the Flagstaff 23lb. Let me know if you have any questions about the unit. We love ours.

We just swapped my girls from the top and bottom bunk as the 13 year old was getting to tight on the top bunk. So we moved the 8 year old up there. She needs help to get up there as we don't have a ladder.

Enjoy

I did get the WDH and plan on spending a few hours during the PDI process. My kids are already fighting over the top and one of them hasn't even seen it yet. Anyone here use the solar connection on it?

Make sure the hot water tank has water in it before you turn on the outside switch otherwise you will burn out the element.

Have them show you how to winterize it so you can do it yourself.

Take video of the pdi or take good notes.

Welcome and Congrats on the new rig. Remember as others have said, Keep asking the questions until you understand what you are being told on the PDI. The only dumb question is one that was not asked.

Here it is. Going to try and take it somewhere close this weekend to get a feel for everything before making our first trip in the first week of June. It towed so easy wasn't sure how my explorer was gonna handle it but it went up and down the mountains with ease.
