New 233s Roo
We brought home our new 233s Roo on Feb. 15. We live in Michigan but 3 of our kids slept in it one of the "warmer" nights out in the driveway.
I have already learned so much from these forums..... the 2nd year warranty, that we need to purchase a surge protector, etc.
I CANNOT wait for Spring!
One note, we cannot permanently store the trailer at our house because of our homeowner's association so we took the trailer to the new storage place which has dirt roads/gravel spots and there was ice/snow in our spot. Being newbies, we didn't call ahead to make sure our spot was clear. I wanted to just drive back home but my husband thought it would be fine. BUT it wasn't fine and we got stuck in the snow and ice. We tried for over an hour along with the help from the man working at the storage place to get unstuck. Then I remembered reading about free roadside assistance with our purchase. Found the number on a sticker in the camper and called! The tow truck was there in less than 15 minutes... kind of embarrassing but we were very pleased with the quick service we got.
Here's hoping our first official outing will go a little smoother!

Welcome! We couldn't wait for spring either, so we booked a smoky mountain trip for Spring Break.

Thanks. Am I remembering correctly from reading other posts that you are a Disney World lover?

I am sure I will be asking you a lot of advice...assuming that is ok.
We love Disney. The last years we have gone in Sept. for their free dining promotion but now that we have the trailer, we want to stay at Fort Wilderness. Hopefully, sometime in 2014!

Hey! Congratulations on the 233s!
Mine gets delivered next week...10 days from now...but who is counting. :-)
I see in your signature that you are towing it with a Chevy Express 2500 which just happens to be what I'll be using. What kind of van and size of engine? Cargo.. Passenger.. Conversion? I'm curious how the tow went. I'd appreciate anything you can share.

Thank you and congrats to you!
Ours is a 2500 12 passenger. 6L v8 135 in wheel base. We had only towed a pop up before and we are not exactly sure how it is "supposed" to feel. We have not driven too far, but every once in a while I feel a touch of "tugging" but most of the time, I don't feel like there is even anything back there. Not sure if the "tugging" feeling is normal or not?

I've been looking at the 12 passenger 2500, I like my Suburban, but I need a little more power. And I'd love to space my kids out a little more! lol

I LOVE our van!!
When we bought it in 2004, we had 5 kids. I would look in the mirror and it seemed like they could get lost in the seats. So much room!
We have 8 kids now and the older ones have grown quite a bit, so there is not a whole lot of room for them to stretch when we are all in it. But the older ones drive so we are not all in it very often.

Welcome. We are pulling our 233s to Disney the last week of March. Brought it home from storage over the weekend.
We can't wait to get on the road.

Wow... Pulling your popup with a 3/4 ton van. I pulled my popup with a 1/2 van and I literally would forget that its back there. That must have been one fun tow!
I'm not sure how its supposed to feel. I've never pulled anything bigger than a popup. With the help of others here I made the decision to move to a bigger tow vehicle even before I have even pulled my 233s...which gets delivered in 10 days...but who is counting! :-)
With all the reading I've done on here yours is one of the few cases I've read about where all of the "tow experts" dont have to get on here and chirp in with "wayyy too much trailer for your tow vehicle". If you log on and read enough you'll see that a lot. I say good job on being prepared.
I'm asking this because I'm awfully curious how well my tow is going to be. The numbers are one thing...but reality is another. I'd love to hear what your first real tow experience with some distance turns out to be like. I've seen very few people on here towing a 233s with almost the same exact tow vehicle. Mine is a conversion but pretty much the same guts (6.0 and 2500). I have no idea what my wheel base is. Nice job on knowing those numbers btw! What year is your van? So..let me know how that first tow goes.

Yo!! Where's all the snow in that picture?!?! Tell me that picture was taken last September!
My 233s gets delivered in 10 days...but who's counting..and I'm pretty bummed as there is still going to be a boat load of snow everywhere! I'm planning on taking the family out Easter weekend and its probably not going to happen unless I can find a site that has been plowed out!
