Under the lavatory in the 8289 also. We have a laundry bag attached to it. The bag catches all the laundry that goes into the shoot.

Really? Look in the cabinet under your bathroom sink - it's that square hole in the floor

Some folks I know do not like this and have simply put a piece of plywood over the chute.

One mod I am considering is to make a fitted cover for the laundry chute and a fitted laundry bag for the basement. It would give you a little more storage space while still keeping the laundry chute feature.

Small screw in hooks like the kind you could hang a cup from under a cabinet.

like B and B I don't have one in my early 2014 model. I have seen it in other models but no laundry chute in mine.

B&B, gljurczyk & Tomjsas,

I BET this was part of the slight changes that they made during the model year.

Question: Which side of your island sink do your cupboard doors open on?

(Hint to where I am going with this: Ours open on the door side of the RV)

Note: If you really wanted the laundry chute I bet you could simply cut a hole in the floor

Our 2013 8289WS Platinum does not have the laundry chute and the island doors open on the stove side & are small and hard to access. Using this Memorial day weekend and then 6/3 off to dealer to fix a leak in the kitchen sink drain under the floor which we spotted when de-winterizing and clearing air from lines. If I had not had the water filter access door open and been standing right there I probably would not have heard the water nor seen it. Should be fixed under warranty as was found 3 days before 1 year warranty was up, thank god.
