new a128 s owner

Getting too old to sleep on the ground so we picked up a 2012 a128 rockwood ,love the setup and the rest of this rig but : we found that the water tank had a crack in it and leaks . I haven't talked to the dealer we got it from yet (it was a consignment rig ), but does anyone have any experience with fixing these ,or is it a replacement issue ? The camper fits exactly what we were looking for and this issue is giving me a bad feeling .

It is possible the tank can be repaired depending on how big and the location of the crack. The problem is these tanks are meant to expand and flex when they are full. That can lead to the repair failing. Especially if you are traveling with a full tank. Wether it's repaired by plastic welding or a patch it still ends up being a weak spot that can crack again when under pressure. If your going to be using this tank a lot it would be better to just replace it and then you would not have to worry about it failing again. With it being a consignment unit, the dealership may or may not flip the bill for this one. A lot of times consignment trailers are sold "as is". They may only repair issues that the previous owner was willing to pay for. If they did a prep or a systems check this issue should have been noted and brought to your attention. Contact them about this issue ASAP.
