New and just returned from first adventure.

I've been lurking for a short while and I don't think I've posted here yet. We just got back from a trip to the NC mountains today. Had headed to a State Park but when we got there they were full (NC State Parks don't take reservations). So we found a campground about 30 minutes away. Beautiful place... at first. Then the Griswald family moved in next door. Four vehicles, three tents, two drop cords, one crockpot and one d@#& television! They watched the Charlotte race (and we HEARD it) while we were trying to get next to nature. Still wouldn't trade the adventure. I'm hooked (even at 8 MPG uphill).

great to hear you enjoyed the rv adventure.

we live in ours 99% of the time, but when we roll up the rugs and head out to campground its like doing it all again for the first time. we love it and enjoy the relaxation

Hello all, this is my first posting as well. My wife and I just bought the
2008 Sabre 31RKTS. We went camping and really like our new coach. We had a small toyhauler for our goldwing but, the wife didn't like living in a garage. So RV shopping we went and she found the Sabre and she could not have anything else. So we signed on the dotted line and brought it home. Now I have to go find a trailer to put the goldwing on so we can take it with us.

The campground had full hookup plus cable, so there was no need for a generator. And I love dogs, even the howling ones. But that was the loudest crockpot I've ever heard!

Welcome J and Sabretooth!! Glad to have you here. Sorry about the crockpot, it was pretty quiet originally but I put aftermarket straight pipes on it cause they're so cool. The beans were quite loud too, if you noticed.

I would recommend for white beans/navy beans, use 1 disc. For pintos, use a full pack of three discs. I hope this helps. If you need anymore info, don't hesitate to ask.

Sweet! Man this site just keeps getting more valuable expertise. One question though, will a spark arrester work effectively as a fart arrester, or do I have to modify it? I'm thinking maybe a layer of tissue or BVD material between the disks.

I would hope there would be no arresting of farts... the back pressure could be hazardous, I believe. I personally would recommend an afterburner to eliminate any traces of evidence, although there may be some who would disagree.
