New Berkshire owners

I'm Dennis, wife is Chris. We are full-timers who just recently upgraded to the Berkshire XL 40QL. Found the forums because we are in need of some urgent advise/help in locating the fuse panel that has the slide fuses/breakers in it. Have pawed through the online manual, searched our closet and elsewhere to no avail so we're sort of stranded with one slide half out and what appears to be no power to it. Other 3 slides work fine, just the wardrobe one having problems.

As for what we do - we camp host on occasion, currently hosting at Sunset Bay State Park, Coos Bay Oregon. We have a blog at: C n D Travels

Love the motorhome, just wish there was at least one service shop for it in the area. As for now, we're having to bother people to find out...

Don't know if it's the right one, but did you try the fuse/breaker panel under the bed?

I thought it would be there too since it wasn't showing up in the 12v panels but nope, that one is strictly for 110v and the slides are all 12v.

But - Thanks Rich!

Wardrobe slide is an accuslide. You can look it up on youtube and see how to manually run it. Do you hear anything when you push the slide button. Often a cable will break on these slides, wrap around the pulley and freeze the slide. I have also heard where there are problems with the slide motor breaking. This is true on the bunkhouse models. Shaft of motor breaks. When that happens the manual process will not work. Check the motor and cables and get back too us and we can tell you haw to proceed.

Many thanks for the warm welcome and the good advise. Had a tech over today to solve the problem. First, the location of the motor and such was at the top center of the slide, mounted on the wall and tucked behind the wood trim! Had to remove the wood trim in order to access and once the tech did, after some searching, found the slide control relay for bringing it in was missing.

Apparently the chain was loose enough to ride down onto the relay and literally unplugged it from the socket. No damage, just unplugged. Plugged it back and viola all was good. Tech then tightened the cables to prevent a recurrence. Unfortunately, too tight and now one cable is starting to fray so we'll be headed for a service shop to have it replaced as soon as we can.

Again, thanks for the warm welcomes and the help. Look forward to reading more on the forums.

With the cable still in place it is not to hard to replace. You can get a replacement from Amazon. Look for Accuslide replacement cable. I have done several for myself and others. I carry extras now

In the future you may want to post in the Berkshire section where more of us may see it.

Thanks! We'll go the warranty route for this one but will definitely grab some spares. And thanks on the Berkshire section, will do.
