New Cedar Creek Owner

Hi all. We just purchased our Cedar Creek 5th Wheel in preparation for retirement which is still a few years down the road. We are finding this site to be very informative in all kinds of way. We are not new to camping in everything from tents to travel trailers. We love the new 5th wheel but we aren't ready to full time it yet, Does anyone have a tip for shutting down the residential fridge after a weekend outing in preparation for storage till the next use. With the slides in you can't prop the doors like in our travel trailer.

Not sure which refrigerator you have. We can leave our doors closed but not latched so they can get air. We just turn it off, wipe it down and leave the doors open/cracked so it will not mold inside.

On our 32WB we have the Haier double door. We wipe down and remove the two freezer doors and stow in the bedroom. A towel is used to prop the frig door open

If you have power where you park it, just leave it on and stocked unless it's going to be a long time between trips. If you don't have power just turn off the battery disconnect and follow the advice above about wiping it out and using something like a towel or thin cushion to hold the doors open a little.

Welcome from Maryland AND a fellow 2019 Cedar Creek Owner (Our 2nd CC 5ver). We opted for the electric/propane refer.

I have this. It keeps the door shut in transit, and it allows blocking door from shutting if refrig is shut down.

x2.

We have power at our storage location, so we just leave it plugged in and turned on. We take out all the perishable food, and usually just leave the drinks.

Yes and that's what we wanted but it could have been probably a thousand more dollars
