Our work situation
Lol we WISH we would have won the lottery! That would make things so much simpler hahaha! No we didn't, but it is a good question since everyone wants to know if you do work on the road, how you make it happen.
So my husband does telecommute, and he's been doing so from our sticks and bricks home for about 9 years now. He's the breadwinner of the family and I'm a stay at home mom that home schools our three kiddos, ages 9, 7 and 3. Our situation makes it much easier to transition into the fulltime lifestyle, since we don't have to get used to telecommuting and pull the kids out of school.
There is one thing that makes our story a little different than most fulltimers that telecommute is our internet data needs. The work my husband does requires MASSIVE amounts of data, like he can use 2-3 gigs in a day. The only way to get around that is to stay at parks that allow you to run cable to your rig. And most all of the education materials we use for our kids is online as well, so getting internet this way just makes the best sense financially right now.
So our plans are to stay at a parks for about a month at a time give or take, and then every other weekend or so take the rig out camping or drive to our new location. This is how we plan to do things for now and who knows what the future holds.
We are just so excited to become a part of such a wonderful community of people and make some awesome family memories.
