Well, tomorrow I pickup a 2014 832IKBs. Well, if I get through PDI that is

I have not rv'd since my folks had a 23 foot Nomad many, many years ago.

I'm towing with a 2011 Toyota Tundra Platinum...

This should be fun.

You're going to love it, and congrats on your purchase. We have the same year and model, and after years of various brands/models, this one works perfectly for us.

And, we experienced a 'first' -- not a single problem needing the attention of the manufacturer or dealer. Every other trailer we purchased previously had at least some problem to deal with (sometimes more than one!!), but so far, all systems are go.

Wishing you years of enjoyment!

Welcome from SW Idaho.

Do not be shy about asking questions or making them repeat anything you are not 100% sure about during your PDI.

Gas.
Water heater.
Tank cleanout.
Propane switch valve.
Furnace and thermostat.

Good luck.

Thanks...PDI went fine.

I was a little worried about the Tundra towing it, but the numbers work...

Truck Dry Weight 5,560 pounds
Me and wife 330 pounds
Gas 300 pounds
Miscellaneous 450 pounds
Total 6,640 pounds

Trailer 8,300 pounds loaded (no water) (TRIALER CURB PER MANUFACTURER 7,150)

Gross combined :14,940
Manual states the limit is 15,400 while the dealer says they see something like 15,800 in their books...

Folks usually run out of payload capacity and meet or exceed GVWR long before gross combined weight. For instance:

Given the specs that model has approximately 12% tongue weight (dry hitch weight (883) / dry weight (7,150)).

12% tongue weight of 8,300 is 1,025. What's the truck's GVWR? Is it more than 7,665?

You're gonna love it! Don't listen to the diesel owners tell you you need more truck. ;-) Your weight and HP is a good match. Make sure wdh is set right. Expect 8-10 mpg depending how you drive. I tow a 8000# rockwood 5er with my 08 tundra and get 10 mpg. But I drive about 60-62 mph. I have airbags to stay level. Still on original passenger tires. Just rolled over 42,000 miles on truck.
Love your floorplan. Welcome.

Says the guy who couldn't make it across railroad tracks in time to not bang up his ladder. (seriously, just kidding!)

I didn't say he needs more truck- just pointed out that he may be overloaded by not looking at all of the specs.

I just got that same unit about 3 weeks ago and pulling with a 2010 Tundra LB. Just readjusted WDH because I don't think the dealer had it fine tuned. So far haven't had any problems with it other than trying to keep the wife from overloading it. We have definitely been trying out the furnace here in Ohio during this cold spell. We'll be heading down south for several weeks on the 28th. We'll see how it goes through the West Va. turnpike.
Good luck to you.

I think you said,(Yes I knew about the Forest River 2nd year Warr), But your Dealer took the Info and Card out of the Paperwork and Trailer Before you Purchased it or had your PDI? Will (Good Sam) cover Bumper to Bumper like F/R? Like Cab doors, entry door, windows, ect.? Youroo!!

I have read thru every piece of lit. (1000's of pages) several times and haven't seen anything about warranty at all. You would think that something as important as that the dealer would tell you about it and stick it up in your face.
