Hello and to the forums. As for camping, spend the first few nights in the driveway. See what you need, and or forgot. Then when you really go camping, you won't be running to the store every hour. Have fun and enjoy.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I already camped 1 night in my back yard with the pup. Plan on a few more out back before my trip to New Hampshire next month.

Ill definitely post some pictures once I take it out. I was tent camping the past 15 years, so I feel like it will be a luxurious vacation. I just hope my propane and battery do not run out on the first trip. I only have 1 propane take and 1 battery for now. I plan on adding 1 more each since I "boondock" alot (no hookups). I believe thats the term I read on other posts.

Thanks again!
Xavier

We camp dry a lot, too. Your propane tank is probably 20lbs so should be plenty.

Boondocking is first about conservation so you might take a good long read in our boondocking subforum and understand your power needs: LED bulbs, reduced furnace time, popup Gizmos, and so on.

Most popup campers become pretty good at conserving so it will soon be second nature.

Second to power conservation is increasing your capacity with one or two deep cycle batteries, possibly using a generator or solar to charge as needed.

Hi everyone!
My husband and I just bought our first new travel trailer today. Been talking about it for a year now, we were planning on getting a used one, but was afraid of problems in the future. We are planning on our first trip close by. This sight is very interesting and fun to read. Carrol
