New Forest River Owner

I have recently purchased a 2008 Surveyor by Forest River. It is an SVT 282. I Had an 2008 Skyline Layton limited that unfortunately met with an unfortunate end about 3 weeks ago. As I was driving down Interstate I-10 just inside Alabama it decided to sway one way then the other and the spring bar popped off and then next thing i knew it hit the driver side of my truck spun me around and scattered the trailer all over the road. I just picked up my Surveyor Saturday, well my Father-in-law did because I do not have a hitch yet. I am a little more than apprehensive about pulling again but I made a big decision and purchased a Hensely Arrow that should be in Friday. Look forward to meeting some others and enjoying my Surveyor.

Well that's me in a nutshell.

Wayne

Thought I would upload a few pics. Wasn't one of my best nights. Worst of all I was 10 miles from my camp site.

Although I am sorry to read about the accident with your old trailer, I am glad no one was hurt. Congrats on your new-to-you Surveyor and the HA. That is a great hitch and one of the few that prevents sway; as opposed to just controlling it.

Good luck with your new rig.

Wayne,
Glad you were not hurt in your accident, that looks pretty bad and could have been much worse. Congrats on your new TT and the Hensley. You will love the way it handles your new TT. Before we got our 5th wheel, we had a Rockwood TT and used the Hensley with it. Really a nice and safe pulling experience. We liked the Hensley so well we traded it in for the BD3 Trailer Saver Hensley hitch. I wouldn't pull anything without the Hensley. Good luck to you.
