Hi All,

We're retiring in July 2017. Been looking at a 2017 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2604WS for our first TT. I've been researching Equalizer 12,000 lb. hitch, portable solar kits, inverters, inverter generators, all the normal accessories, (hoses, water pressure valves, surge protectors, chocks, stove top coffee pot,etc...and Trojan 6 volt batteries.

My questions for today are...

1. How would adding the extra weight of 2 Trojan 6 volt batteries (and a box) affect the towing of the TT. My tow vehicle is 2001 FORD F-250 SUPER DUTY 7.3 Diesel with 10,000 lb. hitch.

2. I forgot to check when looking at it, but I'm assuming the 2604WS has a 12 volt plug-in by the TV. I'm wanting to be able to plug a 100-300 watt pure sine inverter to watch TV while dry camping. Thank you.

Greetings from SW Idaho and welcome to the site.

Each battery will weigh between 60 and 125 pounds each depending on the two you are looking at less the weight of the battery your unit will get from the dealer unless you tell them to not put one in so that is 120 - 250 pounds the battery box will likely be a pound or two.

Effect on the truck, none.

Overall weight might be an issue, capacity of the trailer, truck?

Welcome to the forum. I added 2nd battery to my tt and did not affect the handling of trailer. It added about 70# to tongue . You my want to by small gen to run the tv as this will give you options to keep battery charged and be able to run a couple of small appliances besides just the tv. Later RJD
