New from Atlanta

Hello from Atlanta,
My wife and I are new to the Forest River Forum but look to become very familiar with it. We have a Coleman Bayside popup now but are looking to upgrade to a TT or FW. Since it is only the two of us, the daughter is graduating college and is not coming home we have decided on the V-Lite 30WFKSS. After looking at other models and brands it fits us perfectly. I am glad to find the forum because we will have some questions before we order it. For example does anyone have the atrium slide out and does it have any disadvantages?
Thanks for the forum and we look forward to being very active on it.

to the forum! Sorry I can't help you with your questions as I am not familiar with the V-Lite, but I'm sure someone will.

Welcome to the Forum! My wife and I went from tent camping to a hybrid trailer. The Surveyor 191T. It still gives the sense of tent camping... but lots of conveniences....totally love it! Especially having your own toilet so close by...wonderful. Hope you will have lots of adventures to share.

Welcome to the forum. We have the atrium slide out on our Rockwood and love it The dogs especially love being able to lay under the table and see out 3 windows at once. It does get a little chilly in the slide when camping in the fall and about 28 degrees outside.

Welcome Jerry and Barbara,
We have a Graywolf 19RR toy hauler... made a trip to the factory. Great folks, just like the folks on this forum.

We live north of Atlanta... hope you have a great time ordering your camper and using it!

Jerry, Barbara and Camping Queen,

Do you know if Sweetwater Creek State Park has a campground or do you know of a campground near Powder Springs?

Hello Hal & Suzy,
NO Sweetwater Creek SP DOES NOT have a campground.

Here is a great site where you can see who has camping and make reservations.
Georgia State Parks - Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites

We are going to Ft Yargo on Sunday...after the weekend rush

Also check out Ft Mountain in Chatsworth Ga, Hardlabor Creek near Rutledge Ga.

Look at the Army Corps camps on Carters Lake, Allatoona Lake Cartersville, and Lake Lanier.
But done go this weekend..many are close due to the government shut down

Thank you for the response. We know nothing about Georgia but 2 of our grandchildren moved to Powder Springs last fall so we are trying to find a campground near by. We mostly use pass port America campgrounds but they have nothing in the Atlanta area especially near Powder Springs. We do not plan on going until the end of May when school is out.

Atrium slide

Thanks Granted for the info about the atrium slide, that will be a definite addition on ours. Do you know if the double pane windows make any difference or would is be a waste of hard earned money? I hope you were able to find a campground near Powder Springs. We love the Ga state parks. Just for info one of our favorites is FD Roosevelt State Park in Warm Springs. Not exactly near Powder Springs but a nice place to visit.

Not sure about the double pane but we did order them in our new
