New from The Northern Neck

What a great forum! Thank you all for allowing us to participate. Going to pick up our new-to-us 2011 Rockwood 2604 on Friday! Can't wait! We have been looking for over a year and finally found her on Father's Day. I hope I have not bought a trailer too big for my truck. I have a 2012 Tundra DC 4x4 , 4.6l with the factory tow package and off road package. Tow capacity is 7900lbs. I think the 2604 weighs around 5600lbs. I'm trying to stay at 80% of rated tow capacity and there is just my wife and I and our yellow lab, Ruby. We are planning on packing light. Are there any opinions on whether I have bitten off more than I can chew? I guess it's too late for that, now, huh? Thanks.

Thanks. yes we do! Trying to figure where to go first... maybe eastern Shore at Cape Charles. But I think we will do our first night in the driveway at the river!

Welcome from Madison, AL. You didn't say if this was you first RV or if you started out with a tent, however, I can tell you that camping is whole new way of life, new places to go and things to see, oh and new friends you will meet along the way, it's wonderful. Happy Camping and

We started out with a popup, but that was years ago. Will retire in several years so we are getting our feet wet. Thank you for the welcome!
