New Georgetown 364TS Owner from NW Ohio

Hello everyone!

I'm the proud new owner of a Georgetown 364TS that is on order as of this week. We will be taking delivery in late August and looking forward to a few local trips before stretching the legs a bit next year.

I have a beautiful wife, 3yr old son, 5yr old daughter, 7yr old son and a 1yr old Great Pyrenees/Shepard mix.

We are brand new to RV'ing, but my wife and I have done our share of tent camping. Our kids haven't done much yet, so we're excited to get them out into the countryside.

My professional background is computer programming and I'm mechanically disinclined . I see our new purchase as an opportunity to gain some experience in this area (although hopefully not too much!).

I'm hoping this forum will be a place where I can ask stupid questions and get pointed in the right direction.

Greetings

I too recently (last week ) entered the exciting world of RVing! Take a look at my post here at the Welcome Mat. The kind folks here really got me going in the right direction.

Enjoy and have fun!

Thanks for the welcomes!

In my browsing of these forums so far I've built this list of things to get/do/remember (in no organized order whatsoever):
  • Toad (likely a Jeep Liberty) + bunch of stuff (base plate, tow bar, supplemental brake, etc.)
  • Water pressure regulator so the city water doesn't ruin my pipes
  • Dash cam - maybe with a lane departure feature
  • 2 Oxygenics shower heads (two full baths in the 364 )
  • Good Sam/Coachnet/FMCA memberships for camping discounts
  • Possible Cheap Handling Fix (CHF) to reduce lane sway
  • Steering stabilizer bar for sway reduction and blowout assistance
  • PDI checklist

This is probably just the tip of the iceberg, but so far I've found a lot of useful info.

Any additional tips for a brand new RV'er?

Welcome! I work in SE Ohio. We often fish for perch and walleye in Port Clinton.
