New Guy

Hi, just joined. I am a new RV'er. Just purchased a 2014 27RLSS and still haven't got it ready to use yet. Left wrist in a cast - minor surgery. I need to install a TV, but have some questions. The wall where the TV mounts backs up to the shower wall. How long of a screw can/should I use without going through the wall?? Camping World, where I got the unit, suggested mounting a board on the wall, then attach the TV mount to the board. OK, but that still doesn't tell how long of a screw to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx, Larry

Welcome to the forum. My TT had a sticker on the wall where there was a backer plate installed. Push on the wall and you will probably find a hard spot about 10X10. I mounted there using about 1 1/4 inch screws. Use the thickness of your door jam as a guide. Mine had a pocket door and I just made sure the screw was shorter than the width of the door opening. Good luck and remember duct tape covers everything
