New guy

All,

I am new to this forum and RVing as well. My wife and I just recently purchased a Salem 27RKSS, but have not yet taken delivery. The weather has been bad here lately in North Alabama and we're also getting a black tank flush installed at the dealer. We have a lot to learn...we don't even know what we don't know yet. My brother has been RVing for a few years, so he has been trying to educate me. This forum has a lot of information and it has been very helpful to read the responses to some of the same questions I have pondered.

Gary

Welcome! We too are awaiting delivery on our Salem Hemisphere 263RL. It has left production, so we are waiting for it to be delivered to the dealer. We are so excited and can hardly wait. Waiting has allowed us to follow the information provided on the forum, which has been so helpful. Congratulations on your new Salem!

We're in Hazel Green waiting for the thaw. We plan to pick up the camper next Friday just before the next round of winter weather.

Welcome from metro Atlanta GA. All you really need to know is we are all family. If you see someone with a RV or you are in a campground and have a question. Just ask. I found in our 12+ years of this hobby is EVERYBODY is friendly and helpful. I just got the same model in a Wildwood. Can't wait to go. Traded in our 10tear old 2nd camper. It was like losing a house filled with memories we had.
Have fun and don't worry, everyone will help.

Family fun is the most fun.

Welcome to the Forums from Huntsville Gary!

Congrats on the new camper!!

It's a few months off, but we will be having a Forest River Owner's Group (FROG) Rally in Gadsden, AL in October - would love it if you could plan to attend!

Thanks, Bob. I'll keep the FROG rally in mind when October rolls around. We're still trying to decide where to go on our first weekend trip. Preferably somewhere close by until I can see how my truck handles the trailer. We're also looking around for a good used 3/4 ton truck.
