picked up 5th wheel sat afternoon. spent sunday repacking stuff, but im sure it will be moved again as we go. i just wanted it out of the garage and where it belonged (in the camper).

looking forward to our first weekend out. i got the slider hitch over the salesmans objections that i wouldnt need it, and so far i havent. but time will tell. pulls like a dream even tho heavier than the tt we traded.

i do believe we are going to enjoy it much more as their is more spread out room.

we better!! we now have a bedroom slide, with a proper full queen mattress. the bedroom and mattress in the last tt was always a bone of contention with my wife. and quite honestly, i never slept that well on it either. copper canyon by keystone, while a nice tt, the no slide bedroom and short queen made camping more of a chore. had to come home and get some rest.

we will see over the next few trips what we feel needs to be changed. this being our second rv, we are much more aware of our likes and dislikes this time around

yeah, we put a mattress topper on the new(camper) mattress, and i tried it outwhile resting putting stuff away. i have to say it feels much better than new. im sure she will enjoy iy too. no more feeling the plywood underneath.

if that doesnt work, we will be looking into a mattress of deeper depth.

I know the feeling. When we had our old tt.....it had manual jacks and all. Theae new ines (i got the touch screen remote) makes everything much easier.

This kid and his dad walked by mine the other day. Nice guy and as i was talking to him, he asked his son, "how would you like one of those to go camping in?" The kid just looked at his dad and said "dad, that's not camping, it's living!" I just laughed

we still like the outdoors when we camp, and try to spend as much time outside as possible. it is nice tho to be off the ground, in a comfy bed and ac. sure, we could have gotten the same thing in something smaller, but then i would be camping by myself.

we passed a smart car the other day towing one of those tiny (think its only a bed) camper. DW turned to me and said "that's soooo cute, do they come in men's sizes?" I about ran off the road.

not enough money in the world for me to de-masculate myself by being seen in a smart car. maybe the small trailer behind my 53 ford, but not the smart car.

bet you almost blew milk out of your nose too
