tow vehicle most likely totaled, getting inspected on Monday. Trailer for sure, body is ripped off the frame, interior fittings are smashed. I did have a weight distribution hitch with sway control installed, dealer set it up and it worked well for over 1000 miles.

The nuts and bolts are I was in the right hand lane driving cautiously in poor but not terrible conditions. A semi went to pass me in the left lane and the wind blast pushed us sideways. There was little time and no room to recover. As it turns out, seeing a semi grill in your side mirror is a pretty sobering experience.

So glad you're ok. Sounds like one of those situations where the snow/ice and wind put you in a no recovery position.

We certainly hope that you don't give up on the hobby. This has not been a good year for rvs with the rapid changes in weather conditions.

We've had an unexpected strong gust of wind push my trailer like that. However, we had no traffic and time to regain control of the trailer.

Hope you get good news on the insurance and can rejoin the rv community when the weather gets better.

I hope you have GAP insurance. I also hope you were not far from home.
