New Happy Camper
Hello everybody! I’m super excited about my 25FBLS 2019 trailer and can’t wait to read about everyone’s experiences, travels, and ideas. It’s my first TT and my first year.... and just realized that I forgot to ask how to flush out the antifreeze and if the water filter is installed or if it needs to be removed, and what needs to be done when setting up for the first time?! Anywho, I’m glad to have joined this forum and can’t wait to begin my happy camper journeys! Cheers everyone!

Yes, you should flush out the anti-freeze if you will be using your fresh water for drinking or cooking. It is advisable to also sanitize the fresh water tank after this. These are frequently discussed topics which you can find by searching in the forum library. Don't hesitate to ask questions.

Did your dealer not give a adequate PDI/walkthrough?
They should have covered this, even though you forgot to ask.

Thank you! Sanitize the water, didn’t know or think of doing this. I know to flush out the antifreeze and would have ran the water til it’s clear, but I didn’t think of sanitizing it since there’s a water filter in the TT. Thanks again, this is helpful!

Thanks for the reply. We spent about 3 hours going through the TT inside and out. But some how it was missed and I forgot to ask. I’m going to call them soon about this topic. Thanks you for replying

Thank you everyone! I’m very happy to have found this forum! There’s so much information and creativity!
Any advise on the water filter? Should I be removing the filter when flushing out the antifreeze? Or is it ok to leave it attached since the water will be sanitized?

Welcome to the forums. As stated previously, you have to flush out the anti-freeze but be sure that the weather is warm enough before you do that. It is hard to say if they installed the water filter but I doubt it. I always remove my water filter when I winterize our 5th wheel. Also be sure to santize your fresh water tank before putting any water in it that you will be using. Also be sure to read and follow all directions for de-winterizing your camper. i always drain my water heater and leave the plug out during the winter. Be sure that the low point drains are tight. There are some good videos around that you need to watch that will help with all of this. Have fun and enjoy your new camper....
