New here

Bought a used camper a few weeks ago. All appeared to be ok with it.

Got it home and found the whole slide was rotten and it was patched up. So we are replacing the whole slide out setup flooring and damaged parts as a long term project. (going to gift this camper to someone in need)

I was so frustrated as I got my families hopes up of camping that I went and bought a new 273QBXL from a local RV dealer.

We actually pick it up for PDI tomorrow.

Is the extended warranty worth it? Also any certain area's I need to look out for when doing the walk thru.

I know it is not a top of the line camper but it will be a great starter for the family. When the kids finally move out the wife and I will be selling our home and living in a class A permanently.

Not being familiar with the model, I pulled it up and it is really a nice looking unit. Bought a used TT years ago from acquaintance and soon found issues. Last two have been purchased new...been in sales most of my life and have never purchased an extended warranty. In my humble opinion you are just paying for services up front that you will probably never need, or decide to fix on your own because you don't want to deal with the hassle often associated with dealing with an issue. Enjoy your new trailer and donating your other is a great idea.

We don't purchase extended warranties. On a new trailer, you get a manufacturer's warranty and warranty on all appliances through the appliance manufacturer. Make certain you send in the warranty cards.

As for the walk through.... make certain everything works and is repaired BEFORE you sign the final paperwork.

I would suggest you look into a slide topper (awning) over that slideout to avoid problems with water like the other unit had.

That will be one of my very first upgrades to the trailer. I have researched them quite a bit. Easy install and not a bad price for the amount of protection it provides.

Welcome from SoCal! No to extended warranty. Put the money in savings for TT expenses instead.

Looks REALLY nice!
As for the extended warranty on a trailer IMHO they aren't worth it.
If a system is going to fail, it will fail quickly.
Electricians call it "infant mortality".
Otherwise they are good for years and from my experience they are right.
Having three motorhomes, one pop up, one bumper pull and one 5th wheel. LOL
