New here from MI

Hey guys... new here from West Michigan.

Just ordered our first 5er last week and looking forward to it's arrival mid-May (according to SabreSam). We ordered a Sabre 34TBOK with pretty much all the options!

We had a 32' TT before and made the upgrade due to an upgrade in our family status (we had baby #4 back in Feb)

Just got mine a few months ago so I'm itching to hook her up to the 5th wheel and "burn" the cobs out.

Welcome to the forum fellow Michigander. I am actually venturing over to that side of the state for fathers day, we are going to the State pack at Lake Macatawa by Holland. We have camped in Luddington, Silver Lake, and Traverse City on that side of the state.

Very cool... we camp in Holland and Traverse once a year each for my oldest daughter's soccer tournament, otherwise we generally put in for a couple months straight in Lake City and my wife stays there during the summer while I work. Our camper was brokered by a buddy of mine through Fun-N-Sun in Ludington

Traverse will actually be our maiden voyage towards the end of May

We also have 37 acres in Lake City (at least that is the mailing address) it is actually just south of Moorestown. No water or electricity, but it is our little piece of heaven.

Where do you stay in Traverse City, We have stayed at the State Park and will never stay there again, they had them packed in like sardines, it actually took 26 minutes to make a left hand turn out of there, we hated it. We did like staying at Timber Ridge. Our granddaughter lives up there so we try to stay up that way she her mom can drop her off with us. I do want to try Interlochen State park and it think it is Holiday park just west of the Menards.

We actually stay at Holiday Park, nice park! Can be a pain to turn left out of occasionally, but there is an exit that goes to a light (little back-tracking) that makes it a bit easier

Thanks for the posting of Traverse City camping. We are planning to come the Lake Michigan shoreline on the way back from Goshen this August. We're plotting out where we want to stop along the way to Houghton, Mi. DW wants to stop at a shop in Acme,Mi. Thats the only thing planned so far.

Well I we may get to meet you in Goshen as the DW and I are planning on going. As for Acme, not a whole lot there but if you go north from there Wilderness state park is a nice park. Then you have some nice parks up by Indian River as well. And if you are going yo the UP the Tahquamanon Falls state park is nice as well. Then there is one up at the tip of the UP by Houghton but I can't remember the name.

I know the UP well. We're from Chassell, just south of Houghton and also family cottage on Lake Superior north of Lanse.
DW has a stained glass shop in Acme she has to go to! We are making the circle tour around Lake Michigan with Goshen in the middle. The rest is in the planning stage. Copper Harbor/ Fort Wilkins is one of favorite places to camp.
See in Goshen.

Welcome from a fellow West Michigander, and congrats on your new Sabre - great choice.
Many great campgrounds on the west side of the state, been to most -Holland, Ludington, etc. But our FAV is Pentwater state park!

EXCITING! Great looking rig - hope youve got somewhere to put that beast.
Were picking up our new Crusader in less than two weeks. It's waiting at General RV in Wayland for us.
