New in GA and Towing questions

Hi all!

I have a diesel Ford Excursion 4x4 and am considering a new Vengeance 29V. Unloaded weight is 7618 and GVWR is 9985. The Ex is supposed to tow up to 11,000 without WD. What are your thoughts on this setup and what WD/Sway control would you recommend? I have an EZ lift WD hitch with chains and sway bar now for the camper we currently have. I am NOT using it to haul heavy toys, mostly we haul 3-5 dogs and need crate space so we won't load a ton of heavy cargo. The Vengeance is by far our first choice since it has a king bed and the hubby actually fits on it!

This will be our second camper and a huge upgrade from our 2003 trail-lite but we are by far still newbies!

Welcome from SE GA...just running the eyeball test on info you gave, you'll probably have a hitch weight between 850-900lbs once the camper is loaded...should be fine.

Others will chime in to do the proper math...Enjoy & Happy Camping
