New LaCrosse Owners

We are Gary and Cathy Overfield, and we're the proud owners of a 2013 LaCrosse 318BHS. (Tonight Cathy is doing the writing!)

We're both life-long campers and travelers. We started out with tent camping, graduated to a pop-up, then moved to a small 21 foot Palomino as our first TT.
The Palomino was fine for just the two of us, but when we recently brought a 10 year old grandchild to live with us on a permanent basis, 21 feet felt very tiny. As we get a little older, we are also interested in physical comfort !!!

We spent the last 6 months researching manufacturers and models, visting RV dealers to look at models, attending an RV show in Virginia, and reading online about others' experiences.

We chose the LaCrosse Bunkhouse for a few specific reasons:
The entry into the bathroom. Imagining a 10 year old with muddy feet tromping in and out to use the bathroom. And the 2 dogs. And the assortment of other grandkids and friends ... seemed like a grand idea.

The outdoor kitchen. A dream come true. Who doesn't love cooking outside? Or having a place for kids to grab a cold drink (and adults to grab adult beverages) without melting ice, or running in and out? Cooking fish outside without the grease splatters inside?

The bunkhouse. A child's dream come true. We've had some miserable rainy camping trips, and can only imagine how much nicer the day would have gone with that space for kids to color and draw, play games, watch a movie ... not to mention some privacy for everyone.

And the construction of this unit exceeded anything else we saw! My husband was "in charge" of the construction aspect ...

We've camped from Washington State to Maine to Florida to Texas and in between. Can't wait to get on the road!
