Hello, my wife and I just purchased our first travel trailer last month. Bought it used. It’s a 2014 rockwood minilite 2502s. The trailer is like new. Looking forward to learning the ins and outs of TT camping. My wife and I are going to make our maiden voyage early this spring. Only going an hour away from home. Looking forward to learning from members here so any suggestions are welcome.
Thank you

Welcome. I see you live here in NC, a great state for camping year-round.

Down some camping in your driveway. Don't go into the house unless you absolutely need to. Pretend your 50 miles away from home and a store.

Try to use ALL the equipment in the trailer. WH, Fridge, furnace. A/C etc. Awning, jacks. Take a shower. Ok, go into the house for the bathroom. Dump 5 GALS of water down the toilet and practice dumping the black tank back into the 5 gal bucket.

Thanks for all the welcomes. We’re going to stay in the camper in the driveway one weekend before we hit the road. Hopefully our marriage of 30years makes it. We look forward to visiting much of the US over the many coming years.

Good advice.
