Hello, Forest River friends! I purchased a 2012 Apex 18BH about May 2012 and took it out twice this summer. I've never pulled a trailer before and this resulted in my being timid about all those things about travel trailers that I know nothing about. Currently I am trying to winterize, and I can't find the bypass valve(s) for my water heater. If anyone can give me any information, I'd appreciate it! Thank you, Sue

find the outside access door for the WH and look inside.
should be inside a cabinet, that you can access from inside.
you may have to remove a cover panel that's screwed in.

Welcome to the forum...

They should be behind you water heater. Looking at a pic of your model online check under the bed or under the wardrobe area. Should be three valves.

In the pic is the normal setup (Not bypassed), turn all three valves to bypass...

One more thing, you may need to remove a panel to get to it.

to the forums! Looks like the guys have headed you in the right direction. They know a lot more about it than I do.
