Hello from Texas City!
Just got W&P 30" 2007 model. Doing little fixing. checking and improving whatever needs to be done. Fixed electrical jack(bad +connector 2 battery)
Thinking to relocate spare tire from vertical post on front (and cut that ugly rail too) to under Y, or may be make mount on the gate?? Like the idea on the forum to put a Dimond box and use it to lock up Honda 2000 generator.
Put X-ra batteries (found enough space under dinnet next to electrical panel?) Moved my 5" tool chest to garage, so will have all my tools handy, without running to home's garage and in the field. Want to move my gun's cabinets too.
Well... too much to do... so little time!

OK! Here is the 1st Q! I want to relocate spare tire to the back gate of my W&P TT. I haven't find anyone doing it here...What do U think?

While I can't offer any direct feedback to your spare tire question I wanted to welcome you to the forums! I do remember some members moving the spare tire so hopefully something will turn in a search of older posts & threads.

Be careful where you put more batteries. They need to be vented outside. They can give off hydrogen gas when being charged or if they have bad cells, etc. Hydrogen gas is very explosive. If you want to put batteries inside your RV, consider sealed batteries.

What about inside Dimond box on "Y"?

Concerning additional batteries, putting them in a storage box on the “Y” could work if you can vent it. I don’t know enough about it to give you good advice. I just know that it could be a hazard. Installing plastic marine type battery boxes on the “Y” would be a good solution, but I’d worry about theft.

Perhaps someone more qualified can offer advice. I'm sure others have added batteries.

I used to work for Wells Cargo. If we installed batteries inside, they were in a box with a little corrugated hose running to the sidewall for a vent. AGM batteries would work too.

Well - the Dimond Box on the Y kind off too expensive...
Thinking to build one out of PT plywood, with a few rainproof vents. May be install a 12V computer fan for better ventilation. And make a room there for 2x30 LP propane bottles as well. That will save me $250 dimond box + $75 plastic cover to LP bottles - total over $375. Lumber& PT plywood = under $50!
May be will have some room on the front of the box for spare tire??
