I have a 09 Ford 150 and tow is 9500 and payload is 1400. The numbers you have would be good if a Cnayon or Ranger or something like that but I don't think a 1/2 ton numbers would be that low especially with a "Tow package"
if the truck has a high rear end ratio, like 3.11, it can have a low towing capacity, even with a tow package.
the 4.8 was not a good towing v-8.
