Does anyone know of a good surge protector for the RV? We had problems last weekend when our battery kept draining even though we were hooked to the electric. We think maybe the electric wasn't working. Will everything in the RV work on battery or do some things like the tv and microwave only work on shore power?
Thanks, we have a lot to learn from all of you.
TV ( at least most and all microwave and air conditioners need AC either shore power or gen). The battery not charging could be several things. If you have a battery disconnect switch, be sure it is turned on. Should be on when towing and using RV. It can be off when storing without shore power. It could also be the 30-40 A protection uses in the inverter. They are usually yellow or orange and are there to protect against reverse polarity on Battery. If they blow there is no connection between battery and inverter. Start here.
