Hi All -

We did a lot of popup camping years ago when the kids were small, they're grown now. Got down to doing about one trip a year, just my daughter and myself, off to a bluegrass festival. Got home from that this year and my wife and I decided we'd like to ramp the camping back up again a little, but she wasn't ready to do that with the old old Jayco. So that got sold and we went looking for something a little fancier. Ended up finding a nice 2008 Rockwood HW that had all the stuff she wanted, so that's now sitting in our backyard. Will be looking to upgrade her Escape to a heavier tow vehicle by spring, likely to an Explorer. Then we'll try camping again, probably mostly local (<100 miles) to start...

Welcome to the FRF from western Mass. We did a lot of shake down camping in our driveway...great way to work out any bugs and to see exactly what you need or don't need when you hit the road.

Happy Trails

Thanks for the welcome. We might break down and try a little driveway camping ourselves before the snow flies!
