Saying Hi and looking forward to a lot of great information on the forum. My wife and I bought our first camper in the fall of 2012, a 2013 Rockwood Mini Lite 2109S. We have some great friends who have camped for years and helped us in what was a two year quest to buy the Mini Lite.
We are looking ahead to the opportunity late next year to be on the road for 2 or 3 months at a time. The 2109 was great for our three week trip to Texas but not quite what we wanted for extended stays. This past weekend we traded for a Prime Time Crusader 315RST. We have looked at this model for almost a year and got one for a good price.
If you are ever in the St Louis area look up Bill Thomas Camper. They are great. Good enough that we drove 200 miles one way to buy both of our campers. We don't have a tow vehicle yet so they are going to deliver it to our house.
My family has a 40+ year history with a local GMC dealer who has treated us well. I will be looking at replacing our Sierra 1500 with a 2500HD or 3500HD with the 6.6L Duramax Diesel. We have until next spring to make the move so I am hoping (not expecting) the deal of a lifetime shows up at my door step.
