I drove a semi all over Mi. for 30 years regardless of the weather, so I've had my share if ice covered roads and blowing snow. Yes it's nice to be out of here and everyone reading this I hope you get a chance to retire and head out of here in the winter. It's a relaxing feeling.
We sure did have it easy last winter....I wouldn't mind a repeat. We are retired, but it will be some time before we could break away from Michigan.

After reading your post, I looked at the Lake Haas website. It sure looks like a nice place. Hope you enjoy your new Columbus.

I wish we didn't have to winterize..These Michigan winters sure seem to be getting longer and I'm getting older.

Our plan is to leave michigan about this time of the year, but like you it will be some time before we get all the loose ends tied up. My Oldest daughter is getting married in March. When she moves out we are moving my father-in-law in. He isn't happy where he is and were not sure how long he has, so we want him to be as happy as he can be. I won't venture a guess on how long that will be. I'd like him to live another 20 years, but that is hopeful thinking. For the time being we'll just have to make do with a couple of weeks in October each year.
